I spent the last hour plus reading Substack posts that had “wit & humor” and then “stats & facts”. I read a CNN article about “real journalism vs maga journalism”, featuring local Utah Youtuber influencer, aka maga journalist Nick Shirley. He “reported” with plenty of rhetoric, relatively little substance. After white Christian Nationalist Charlie Kirk was assassinated on the campus of UVU in Orem, Utah, a martyr was born. Since I am one who listens to the local NPR station (KUER). Living in this red state, I had to ask, Charlie who?

There is always something going on that gives me a reason to document it. With a camera in my hand, I respond visually to the woes and worries of our nation. Recently, the killing of Renee Good by an ICE agent sparked protests all over the land. Here in Ogden, I think that this clever woman in the Spiderman suit must be an educator. Holding her sign, this marvel superhero is “making us think again.” MUTA!!
